Meet Wellington Photographer, Dawn Licata

Thanks so much for stopping by and visiting my site! I’d love to introduce myself.

I delivered my first and only child, Alex, in 1995 at the age of 16. Days after delivery, I realized how fast time was going and I wanted to document everything. On Mother’s Day 1996, I received my first camera (film) and my passion/obsession began. I loved dressing Alex up, and taking him to local parks and beaches for impromptu sessions. A few years later, friends and family would ask me to photograph them, While I wasn’t charging, I loved the entire process of planning, shooting, and delivering beautiful images. 

For what seems like forever I worked full time in corporate America and did sessions after work or on the weekends. In 2014 I decided it was time for me to leave my full-time job and pursue photography full-time. It was a huge leap of faith full of worry and doubt, but God showed me his plans and what he had is store for me. 

Today, I tell everyone who will listen how grateful I am and how I have the very best job in the entire world. My specialties include maternity, newborn, child, and family photography. I love meeting clients during their maternity sessions, documenting their sweet baby’s newborn session, and then following them through the first year and ongoing family sessions. My name is Dawn Licata and I’m the owner of Captured Moments by Dawn located in Wellington, FL.
